Great American Insurance Company specifically targets specialty property and casualty insurance businesses and the sale of retirement annuities, life and supplemental health insurance products.

Challenges

We were unhappy with our current load testing tool. Cost of the tool was high with a lack of support. We were unable to test some of our applications due to limitations of the tool.

Our unmet needs were:

• Lack of Ajax support;
• Cost of the product was extremely high;
• Updates to software;
• Poor customer support, customer tickets submitted remained open with no resolution.

Solution

The major benefits from using NeoLoad were:

• Ability to correlate values easily;
• Easy system to learn and use;
• Works well with .Net framework.

Currently we have a small team dedicated to testing multiple applications in house. We have a reservation system set up to dedicate three week sprints for load testing on the different applications.

NeoLoad has enabled us to performance test in house applications that we were unable to test with our old tool. The ease of use of the tool has also enabled us to test our current applications at a quicker pace enabling us to provide better metrics quickly to our customers.

Going forward all new projects assigned for load testing will use the NeoLoad product. Previous load testing scripts will be redone using NeoLoad.
