Everest Technologies Successfully Leverages NeoLoad / Platform Lab Solution to Effectively Conduct
Stress and Load Tests
Merrimack, NH – September 23, 2008
Neotys, a leader in easy-to-use, cost effective stress and load testing tools for web applications,
today announced that AlarmPoint Systems is successfully using
its NeoLoad software to stress and load its alert notification software.
AlarmPoint System’s provides targeted, accelerated notification and mobile Web-access alerts from IT
operations management, business continuity and other applications. Its products use Web-service integrations
to actively alert service desks, incident management, job scheduling, business continuity, and change and
configuration management sources. AlarmPoint’s Actionable Information Delivery platform is used for accelerating
decision making, improving operational effectiveness and increasing visibility across the real-time enterprise.
Over 800 global firms, including 7 of the 10 largest global 2000, rely on AlarmPoint to help ensure the
availability of their mission critical and virtualized systems, networks, applications and processes.
Before working with Neotys, AlarmPoint developers were rapidly adding new functions and features to its Web-based
application but having a difficult time identifying and understanding the system response times and stress points.
Now with NeoLoad, AlarmPoint developers can create test scenarios, load test web applications, validate their
performances and detect any weak points as they add new features.
“To ensure AlarmPoint delivers Actionable Information, efficiently and effectively, we must be clear on what
resources and competencies are required to support our platform,” said Cornel Fota, vice president of engineering,
AlarmPoint Systems.“NeoLoad has provided us with an agile, cost effective solution to meet our stress and load
testing needs. Using the testing tools, we have been able to better simulate and understand the system behavior
under many scenarios. NeoLoad has also helped us identify and resolve performance and scalability issues which
are an exceedingly important part of our development and deployment process.”
NeoLoad is a web stress testing software that runs high-load scenarios on web applications to measure performance
and robustness prior to deployment. Unlike other web testing tools that require scripting, are overly complex and
expensive, NeoLoad is easy-to-use due to its intuitive GUI interface, requires no scripting, provides a rich feature
set at a cost effective price point. NeoLoad supports all web technologies and application server technologies
including J2EE,
.NET, PHP,
AJAX,
SOAP, FLASH,
FLEX and
Oracle Forms.
“Our mission is to significantly improve the way companies get their Web applications to market by offering the finest
stress and load testing tools in a cost effective fashion,” said Stephane Jammet, vice president of sales and business
development, Neotys. “As IT service delivery and support becomes an increasingly prevalent delivery model because of
the popularity of technologies such as Ajax, and Adobe Flex, we are happy that companies like AlarmPoint can benefit
from tools necessary to stress test these technologies in an easy-to-use manner”.
